This part of the Racing 2 Learn program is working with kids who are driving now or want to drive racecars or karts. The team seeks kids with good grades, strong family ties and involvement, a professional attitude, and who are hands on with their car and race team. The team helps them with marketing support, which increases exposure for the program and the Racing 2 Learn marketing partners, but also provides advice, information, and general racing assistance.

Two of the student racers are Matty and Zack Gamache, 5th and 3rd grade go-kart racers who compete regularly at Dodge City Speedway in Howes Cave, NY as well as other tracks in the region like Caroga Creek.  Both are excellent young men on  and off the track, and they have earned extra “sponsorship” money due to their good grades in school. Matty and younger brother Zack are both racing again in 2011 with their parents close by their side.

In his 2nd race season for the Racing 2 Learn program, is Sheldon Martin from Scotia, NY. Sheldon is an 11th grade student who is competing in the Pro Stock division on the asphalt at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, after a highly successful go-kart career. He is battling for the points title in his rookie season on the pavement, and gets support from his Father, while having his Mother and Sister at the track every weekend with them.  We're going for a track title in 2011.

New to the Racing 2 Learn family in 2010 are Brianna and Mckenzie Hasenflue.  The 17 and 13 year old sisters are racing go-karts in the Southern part of state at tracks like Cuddebackville.  Both girls are having solid seasons on the track, but did even better in school with their grade.  Brianna is off to college this Fall, and we're hopeful to have Mckenzie back racing with us in 2011.
